Two-dimensional problems of diffusing substance propagation in a closed water area are considered. An analytical solution of boundary value problems for the diffusion equation in a circle of finite radius is obtained depending on the coordinates and time. This makes it possible to study the area of concentration of the diffusing substance above the maximum permissible. The considered mathematical models have an important applied value in the problem of environmental protection in the event of emergencies on ships and vessels.
