Requirements to articles

The journal ‘Intellectual Technologies on Transport’ accepts scientific articles on artificial intelligence and machine learning, intelligent transport systems, mathematical modelling, system analysis, software and software engineering.

Scientific articles are published under the journal's headings:

  • • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (1.2.1),
  • • Mathematical modelling, numerical methods and software complexes (1.2.2),
  • • System analysis, control and information processing, statistics (2.3.1),
  • • Mathematical and software support of computer systems, complexes and computer networks (2.3.5),
  • • Methods and systems of information protection, information security (2.3.6),
  • • Intelligent transport systems (2.9.8).

The journal accepts previously unpublished papers with a scientific and (or) a practical novelty. All articles are subject to Anti-Plagiarism check, articles with originality not lower than 75% are allowed for a publication.
No more than one paper by the same author (including co-authorship) may be published in one issue of the journal.

Deadlines for acceptance of articles:

  • Issue No.1 - till 25.02;
  • Issue No.2 - till 25.05;
  • Issue No.3 - till 25.08;
  • Issue No.4 - till 25.11.

The volume of the article manuscript should be:

  • review article - from 10 to 16 pages;
  • article - from 6 to 10 pages;
  • short communication - up to 2 pages of the main text of the article without taking into account the abstract, keywords and the list of references.

Articles of larger length can be accepted for publication by decision of the editorial board by way of exception.

The condition for acceptance of an article for publication is compliance with the Rules of article design:

The following documents should accompany the manuscript of the article:

  • license agreement,
  • if possible - a review-recommendation of the article with the indication "The article is recommended for publication", written and signed by a candidate or doctor of sciences - a specialist in the relevant subject.

Peer Review Process:

In accordance with the manuscript submission requirements, authors may provide a review (recommendation) for the article, compiled and signed by a Doctor (Candidate) of Sciences – a specialist at the relevant scientific subject area of the article.

Manuscripts are checked for the presence of necessary article components (abstract, keywords, unique decimal classification code, etc.), checked for plagiarism and then submitted for peer review. As a rule, a member of the editorial board of the journal acts as a reviewer. By decision of the editorial board, the manuscript may be sent to an external reviewer – a specialist at the relevant field of knowledge, holding a doctoral or candidate of sciences degree.

The type of peer review is single-blind (the reviewer knows the author; the author does not know the reviewer). When preparing the review, the reviewer is recommended to provide a five-point scale assessment on the following indicators:

  • originality and scientific novelty of the results;
  • clarity and logic of the presented material;
  • relevance of the cited literature list;
  • compliance of the article with the journal's subject area;
  • informative content of the title, abstract, and keywords;
  • technical formatting of the text;
  • adequacy and validity of the conclusions.

The reviewer can provide comments for the authors and the editorial board and/or only for the editorial board. Filling in the comment fields is mandatory if the reviewer's decision on the article is different from «Accept for publication».

Possible final decisions of the reviewer: Accept for publication / Accept with revisions / After revision by the author, send for re-review / Reject the article.

The review period is no more than one week from the date the article is received by the reviewer. Within no more than two weeks from the receipt of the review, the editorial board considers the review and makes a reasoned decision on the need for revision (reworking) of the article and (or) the possibility (impossibility) of publishing the work. In case of a negative review, the editorial board has the right to send the article for re-review, but no more than once.

The reasoned decision of the editorial board is communicated to the authors of the article within a week after the decision is made.
