The article discusses current issues of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into the educational activities of an engineering university. The main areas of AI application are analyzed: adaptive and personalized learning, automation of administration and assessment, intelligent support for research work. Special attention is paid to the specifics of implementation in engineering education, related to the need to work with graphs, drawings, complex calculations and projects. Key risks are identified: digital inequality, ethical dilemmas, personnel shortages and the threat of dehumanization of the educational process. Based on the analysis, practical recommendations are proposed for the phased and systematic implementation of AI tools, aimed at increasing the effectiveness of learning while maintaining the leading role of the teacher.
